OpenAI is reportedly working on a social network described as 'X-like' in nature. An internal prototype focuses on ChatGPT's image generation and features a social feed. CEO Sam Altman has sought feedback from outsiders, although it remains unclear if the platform will be a separate app or integrated into ChatGPT. The project is still in early development and may serve as a competitive move against Meta and Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter). OpenAI currently has limited experience with shareable content, and there is no official name for the platform yet.

Meta is currently facing an antitrust lawsuit initiated by the FTC, alleging anti-competitive practices since December 2020. The case has been ongoing for over four years, with a Federal Court Judge initially dismissing it in June 2021. In 2022, the FTC filed a more detailed complaint. Meta's opening statement, which included comparisons of its messaging services to Apple's iMessage, was made public with poorly executed redactions. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has testified for about nine hours in the trial, which includes claims that Meta acquired Instagram and WhatsApp to stifle competition.

Johnson & Johnson is facing $400 million in additional costs due to tariffs, despite reporting a revenue of $21.89 billion and a profit of $11 billion in the first quarter of 2025. Centa, an Indian teacher upskilling firm, raised $2.3 million in a Series A1 funding round led by Colossa Ventures, with participation from Discovery Assets and angel investors. The funds will be used to develop new products for teachers in India and beyond. In another development, IUNU secured $20 million in a Series B extension funding round led by S2G Investments, focusing on AI and machine vision for greenhouse efficiency. Additionally, Seattle startup Friday Harbor raised $6 million in a seed round to support mortgage lenders, with 16 enterprise customers already using its software.
